Alloy C276 Expansion Joints for the Kutei North Hub FPSO in Indonesia

We have successfully manufactured six Metal Expansion Joints for seawater pumps destined for the Kutei North Hub FPSO project in Indonesia.

Ranging from DN 350 to DN 500, the bellows, sleeves and backing rings are made from Alloy C276, while the flanges are manufactured from super duplex stainless steel ASTM A182 F55 (UNS S32760).

Depending on the pump connection, we have designed them for pressures of 20 or 40 barg and temperatures from 0 to 75°C. Our inspection programme includes hydrostatic pressure testing, liquid penetrant and radiographic testing, and material identification checks.

The units will be installed on the FPSO serving the Kutei North Hub development in the Kutei Basin, off East Kalimantan. Saipem is responsible for the FPSO’s engineering, procurement, construction and installation.
