April 2011 - Expansion Joints for Landing Helicopter Docks (LHD)
The LHDs will be able to serve as amphibious landing ships, helicopter carriers, floating HQs and medical facilities for humanitarian assistance, and launching pads for UAVs or even short/vertical takeoff fighters. The Expansion Joints are manufactured from high tech fireproof rubber and fabric and are being installed in the centrifugal fans of the vessels.
