Emergency Bellows Replacement at CCPP in Northern Europe

On this occasion we are pleased to announce the successful completion of an emergency bellows replacement on Pressure Balanced Expansion Joint installed at a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine power plant in Northern Europe.

Thanks to the flexibility of our manufacturing facilities and the dedication of our engineering and production teams, a fully customized replacement bellows was designed, manufactured, tested and ready for shipment in just three days.

Simultaneously, MACOGA mobilized an experienced field service team, which travelled immediately to the customer's site to execute the replacement operation, minimizing plant downtime and ensuring a safe and efficient return to service.

The replacement unit consisted of a DN 1200 metallic bellows, of 1.2 m diameter with Leak Detection System and reinforcement rings.

The replacement bellows also underwent the required quality controls, including visual inspection, liquid penetrant testing, dimensional verification and interply pneumatic leak testing before shipment.
