Flanged & Flued Expansion Joint for Styrene facility in China
One of China's largest petrochemical plants, specializing in styrene production, has placed its trust in MACOGA for the design and manufacturing of a critical Expansion Joint essential for its operations.
Flanged and Flued expansion joints are made in two halves from flat annular plates. The outside edges of the plates are formed in one direction (flanged), and the inside edges are formed in the other direction (flued). The two halves are welded together and then welded into the heat exchanger shell.
Through a comprehensive collaboration involving our engineering team and that of our client, we successfully completed the design, manufacturing, and delivery of one MACOGA Flanged & Flued Expansion Joint having the following key features:

- Size: 4432 mm
- Material: SA516Gr.70 N
- Thickness: 25 mm
- Test Pressure: 7.23 barg
- Design Temperature: +360 °C
