High-Pressure ASME U Stamped Expansion Joint for Heat Exchangers
We manufacture Expansion Joints for the most extreme operating conditions.
On this occasion we have designed and manufactured four ND 1450 mm (58”) MRR Expansion Joints for a design pressure of 90 Barg (1305 PSIg) and test pressure of +120 Barg (+1740 PSIg).
These Expansion Joints will be installed on Wet Gas Exchangers and Wet Gas Propane Chillers for the Aramco HUGRS (Hawiyah Unayzah Gas Reservoir Storage) project, located 260 km east of Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh. The plant includes a gas injection facility with a capacity of 1500 million ft3/d (42 475 270 m3/d) and a withdrawal facility capable of processing up to 2000 million ft3/d (56 633 693 m3/d) of gas.

The ASME U stamp is an indication of quality for the Expansion Joints. It certifies that the design, materials, manufacture, inspection and testing of such expansion joints are in strict compliance with ASME Code. More than 100 countries around the world use the ASME code for pressure vessel design, and U-stamped vessels follow the requirements of ASME Sec VIII Div 1.
