High Pressure Reinforced Expansion Joint for Heat Exchanger
We are a world leader in the design and manufacture of expansion joints for heat exchangers. Differential axial expansion between the shell and the tube bundle is a well-known problem in the design of fixed tube sheet heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
In heat exchangers, the inner tubes and shells often do not expand at the same rate due to differences in materials, varying temperatures, and other factors. Without proper preparation to manage this longitudinal thermal expansion, the resulting pressure and dimensional changes in the tubes or shell can cause significant damage to the unit.
To address this issue, we have designed and manufactured a high-pressure reinforced expansion joint with the following features:
- MACOGA Expansion Joint Type: MRR
- Size: DN 2000 mm
- Bellows Material: Alloy 825
- Reinforcement Rings: Carbon Steel A516Gr70
- Ends Material: Carbon Steel A516Gr70, thickness 35 mm
- Design Pressure: 35 bar
- Test Pressure: 53 barg
- Design Temperature: 248 ºC
- Fluid: Steam
With these advanced features, our high-pressure reinforced expansion joint ensures reliability and longevity in managing differential axial expansion, safeguarding the integrity of heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
