We have successfully completed the design, manufacturing and testing of 10 Universal Tied Expansion Joints for Sierra BioFuels Plant, Nevada USA, the first biorefinery using gasification technology to convert municipal solid waste into syncrude that will be upgraded into jet fuel.

The plant is located in Storey County, Nevada, approximately 20 miles east of Reno. Once completed, Sierra is expected to process approximately 175,000 tons of MSW feedstock annually, creating 10.5 million gallons per year of renewable synthetic crude oil, or “syncrude”, that will be processed by our partners into transportation fuel.

  • Expansion Joints type: Universal Tied MWL Series
  • Size: 660 mm (26”)
  • Length: 1500 mm (59”)
