MACOGA obtains ASME U2 Certification

MACOGA obtains ASME U2 Certification

We are pleased to announce that we have obtained the ASME U2 Certification, a significant milestone that further strengthens our engineering and manufacturing capabilities for pressure equipment.

The ASME U2 Stamp authorizes manufacturers to build pressure vessels in accordance with Division 2 of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC). This division applies to pressure vessels that demand enhanced structural reliability and performance requiring more advanced design methods, detailed engineering analysis, and stricter fabrication and inspection requirements.

Compared to traditional pressure vessel design rules, ASME Section VIII Division 2 allows the use of advanced stress analysis, refined design methodologies and higher design efficiencies, enabling optimized solutions for demanding industrial applications while maintaining the highest levels of safety and reliability.

With this certification, MACOGA expands its capability to support projects that require more sophisticated pressure vessel engineering and manufacturing, particularly in industries where performance, safety and design verification are critical.

The U2 certification complements the other ASME authorizations already held by MACOGA, including: ASME U Stamp – Manufacture of pressure vessels under Section VIII Division 1 and National Board “R” Stamp – Authorized repair and alteration of pressure-retaining equipment.

This achievement reinforces MACOGA’s commitment to engineering excellence, compliance with international codes, and the continuous development of advanced solutions for critical industrial systems.
