MACOGA has successfully designed, manufactured, tested and shipped a large diameter Universal Tied MWL Series DN3000 (118”), a Hinged MWP Series DN3000 (118”) and a Dog Bone DN2400 (94”) for the Kwinana Waste to Energy project in Australia.

The project is located in the Kwinana Industrial Area, 40 km south of Perth. It will process up to 400,000 tonnes a year of waste using best practice technologies and processes, exporting an estimated 36MW of electricity to the grid – enough to power around 50,000 households.

The facility is an important and significant renewable energy project for Western Australia and Australia. It will be the first thermal utility-scale Waste to Energy facility constructed in the nation, diverting approximately 25 per cent of Perth’s post-recycling rubbish from landfill sites.
