We have been awarded a contract for the design, manufacturing, testing and shipping a large number of High-Tech Rubber Expansion Joints for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Lusail Iconic Stadium.

This project involves construction of a District Cooling Plant, that will be located at Lusail City in Qatar. The plant will supply chilled water to end users through an integrated network with a connected cooling of 500,000 tons of refrigeration by utilizing multiple chiller plants which are Marina, Wadi, West and North. This will be one of the biggest cooling frameworks on the planet.

Most of 2022 FIFA World Cup stadiums are cooled using district cooling system. It is a modern, efficient way to air condition a network of residential & industrial buildings in cities, campuses, factories, etc. Central cooling plants house large, highly efficient, industrial-grade equipment that produces chilled water for supply to customer buildings through an insulated underground piping network. Cold supply water enters the building and flows through a heat exchanger, absorbing heat from the building space before recirculating back to the central plant through a closed loop return line.

District cooling systems require the installation of Expansion Joints in the pipes and associated equipment to absorb the expansion and contraction of the lines due to thermal changes and vibrations generated by related equipment like pumps, compressors, etc.
