MACOGA supplies large size Expansion Joints to E-Wood Waste to Energy Plant in Belgium
A new treatment facility for non-recyclable wood waste is being built in Doel, near Antwerp. Called ‘E-Wood’, the plant will transform this residual waste into renewable energy and will help to develop the activities in this area, in line with the Flemish region’s sustainable development goals.
E-Wood will have an annual processing capacity of 180,000 tonnes of non-recyclable wood waste (treated or rotting wood, woody matter from composting, etc.). The waste material will come from Belgium and neighbor countries (Netherlands, Germany and France).
The plant will generate 20 MW of electricity. The remaining steam can be supplied to the very first large-scale industrial network at the port of Antwerp.
We have successfully designed, manufactured, tested and shipped the Expansion Joints for this WtE Power Generating Facility.
