Outstanding On Site Work in FCC Flue Gas Line at a European Refinery
In this occasion, our team carried out the replacement of a damaged bellows in an expansion joint installed in a Flue Gas line of the FCC unit, one of the most demanding services in refinery operations.
Thanks to strong coordination between our workshop and field teams, a new bellows in Alloy 625 LCF, including internal components in SS304H, was manufactured in just 2 days. The complete on-site intervention was then executed in a record time of only 4 days, minimizing downtime and ensuring the safe and reliable return to operation.
Scope of On-Site Work
- Dismantling of pantograph system
- Removal of damaged bellows
- Installation of new internal components and insulation in bellows
- Installation of new bellows
- Reassembly of pantograph system
- Presetting of the complete unit to its working position
This achievement once again demonstrates MACOGA’s ability to respond rapidly to urgent situations, delivering high-quality engineered solutions under extremely tight deadlines, even in the most demanding environments.
