Pressure-Balanced Expansion Joint for Waste to Energy Plant in South of France

MACOGA has successfully manufactured and shipped a Pressure-Balanced Expansion Joint for a Waste to Energy project in the South of France.

The plant will be able to recover all of the territory's waste thanks to an increase in capacity to 55,000 tons - while maximizing the supply of heat and energy to the local industrial basin. The community will thus increase the energy independence of the territory by producing green energy from locally generated waste.

The pressure balanced expansion joint supplied accommodates axial and lateral movements and counteracts the bellows pressure thrust. An additional bellows is incorporated into the unit and is subject to the line pressure to generate a force equal and opposite to that on the main bellows. Tying these bellows together neutralises the pressure load on the unit.
