Rubber In-Line Pressure Balanced Expansion Joint for CCGT Power Plant in Europe

Rubber In-Line Pressure Balanced Expansion Joint for CCGT Power Plant in Europe

MACOGA stands as a global leader in the design and production of Expansion Joints specifically tailored for Power Generation Plants.

Our Expansion Joints are used by leading EPC contractors, power sector specialists, plant engineering firms, energy producers, turbine and boiler manufacturers, and plant owners across the world.

On this ocassion, we successfully engineered, manufactured, and tested three DN 1400 Pressure Expansion Joints for 560MW gas-fired combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant under located in the east of Europe.

A pressure-balanced expansion joint is designed to manage axial and lateral movements while eliminating the thrust created by internal pressure. This is achieved by incorporating an additional bellows, which counters the force on the main bellows by generating an equal and opposite pressure force. By connecting these bellows, the pressure load on the unit is completely neutralized.

Key Features of the Supplied Expansion Joints:

  • Type: Rubber In-Line Pressure Balanced MPB-I Series
  • Bellows Material: EPDM with Reinforcement Fabric
  • Size: DN 1400 mm
  • Design Pressure: 4.5 Barg/F.V.
  • Test Pressure: 6.75 Barg
  • Design Temperature: +50/-5 °C

With thousands of installations operating effectively in power plants worldwide, MACOGA Expansion Joints continue to set the standard for excellence in the power generation industry.
