A Norwegian chemical plant of adhesives contacted us informing of a serious problem in an expansion joint installed in a heat exchanger.

During the installation of the insulation system, an external company mistakenly drilled a the bellows of an expansion joint supplied by MACOGA by making a 3 mm diameter hole.

The complexity of this work is that it was a multiply bellows but the MACOGA on-site team provided the client with a permanent welding solution making an exceptional and reliable work.

After the repair, a liquid penetrant test and a pressure test verified that the repair was carried out positively.

MACOGA carried out this work in a record time of 3 hours.
