Alloy 800H Two Ply Testable Expansion Joints with Equalizing Rings for Petrochemical Plant in China

Alloy 800H Two Ply Testable Expansion Joints with Equalizing Rings for Petrochemical Plant in China

We have extensive experience in the design and manufacture of Expansion Joints for high pressure and high temperature heat exchangers.

On this occasion we have been awarded a contract for the design, fabrication, testing and shipping of two large size MRR Expansion Joints for the Reactor Reheaters.

Highlights of the Expansion Joints supplied:

MRR Series

  • Size / DN 3348 mm
  • Bellows in Alloy 800H
  • 2 ply testable system
  • Reinforcing rings in SS 304H
  • Temperature: +760 °C
  • Test Pressure: 22.0 BARg
  • Medium: EB & Steam

MRR Series

  • Size / DN 3378 mm
  • Bellows in Alloy 800H
  • 2 ply testable system
  • Reinforcing rings in SS 304H
  • Temperature: +760 °C
  • Test Pressure: 31.0 BARg
  • Medium: EB & Steam

MRR Series incorporate reinforcement or equalizing rings located around the outside of the convolution thus preventing the bellows being forced out of shape due to the high pressures.

Equalizing and Reinforcing Rings are devices used on some expansion joints fitting snugly in the roots of the convolutions. The primary purpose of these devices is to reinforce the bellows against internal pressure and equalize the movement among all the corrugations.

MACOGA is a member of EJMA and is recognized worldwide as a leading manufacturer of highly engineered Expansion Joints, which offer reliability and durability to handle high pressure and high temperature requirements.
